"Le fil d'or"

For this painting, I painted a metaphorical bird, representing a soul ascending to the afterlife, having just left its earthly body. It could be either a human or an animal soul.

I represented this ascension with a line above the bird's head. This line is a divine thread that connects us to everything: the universe, God, the source. The black circle above the bird's head symbolizes perfect balance, divine balance. The large circle around the bird's head represents its aura, the two other circles represent its past lives, and the circle that is now ending represents the fact that this soul has completed its earthly journey. The three other lines are very important, as they also tell the story of this painting.

These lines are what I call golden threads. This soul, which will now live in the afterlife, will always remain connected to three souls who stayed on Earth to complete their earthly journey.

This golden thread is the thread of unconditional love. These souls will always be connected to one another. Physical death is not an end, it is just a passage. The soul survives in the light; we are "eternal," and some of us are bound by unconditional love, regardless of the dimension we are in. This is what the golden thread signifies.
